CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

10:45 – 11:45 A.M.

ADULT CLASSES

ABOVE & BEYOND:  HEARING GOD’S CALL IN JONAH AND RUTH

Adult Bible study, led by Melinda Anderson.

Every 2nd Sunday (beginning Sunday, September 12) at 11:00 a.m. in the Church Library.

Every Christian has a call. That call sometimes demands major life changes; sometimes that call is answered in small acts of faithfulness made many times over in one’s lifetime. But what exactly does it mean for each of us, as people of faith, to hear and respond to God's call? We will explore this question through the lens of what God's call meant for Jonah and Ruth. Not just a "fish tale" or a "Cinderella story," these biblical books offer insight into what it means for each of us to hear and heed God's call. Please request a workbook from the church office if you’d like to participate. If possible, pick up the book prior to September 12 and read the first lesson. Then read the stories of Ruth and Jonah in the Bible or a storybook. No need to study the stories–we’ll do that in class!

CREATION & REDEMPTION

 – Adult Bible study, led by Pastor Ed.

Every 3rd and 4th Sunday (beginning Sunday, September 19) at 11:00 a.m. in the Campbell Room.

Creation, the Fall, the flood, pre-history – all these and much more are presented in Genesis.  Have you ever wondered where we came from, how we were created, what is our place in the created order? We will cover these topics and more as we explore Genesis. No prior Bible knowledge is necessary –just a healthy curiosity and desire to learn.  Everyone is welcome for all or as many times as you can attend.
