Committees
The people of God are motivated for service to
God, the church, and the world by the grace, love, joy, and peace they
have experienced in Jesus Christ. Their passion for Christ is lived out
in concrete actions of service which help to usher in the reign of God.
The Church provides a means for helping believers to act faithfully
according to God's call, and its organizational structure should enable
its members to realize God's vision for the church.
First Presbyterian Church has a diversity of
gifts and passions among its members. Helping our members to use their
gifts and passions efficiently and effectively is an excellent way to
help them grow in faith, support the overall ministry of the church, and
share with the community the fruits of their labors.
Our structure assumes overall governance,
mission and vision generation, and provision of resources by the Session
of the church and its committees. Currently operating committees and
